Terms and Conditions

Please be sure to read these terms and conditions in full before booking your course and call to speak to a member of WMC staff if you need more information. This does not affect your statutory rights.

1. Course selection. Select the course that you require and please speak to a WMC staff member who can assist you in ensuring that you are selecting the right course for your staff. You should then complete our booking form in full, paying particular attention to the required fields. If you omit a required field this may delay your application.

2. Payment and Course confirmation. We cannot book and confirm an in-house course until we have a completed booking form and full payment or an official purchase order number. If you have not received a confirmation letter or email from us that the course has been booked, it is your responsibility to check that payment has reached our finance department. We also require a completed registration form with the following details (Name, Job Title, Email address and phone number) of the staff attending the course a week before the course commences.

3. Course engagement. Once an in-house course is booked and confirmed, the distribution of the course workbooks and study materials (only necessary for Level 3 Weight Management & Nutrition Qualification), along with details of your tutor and contact details for support will be arranged with you. Course materials may be sent directly to the venue, brought with the tutor or arranged to be distributed by the course organiser.

4. Cancellations & rescheduling the course date. By signing the booking form you are agreeing to undertake and pay in full for the in-house training course. You have the right to cancel the course and providing you do so more than 3 months prior to the confirmed course date, you will be entitled to a refund. Please note that there will be a 10% fee deducted from your payment to cover the administration costs incurred by WMC. If you cancel a course, you must immediately return all course books and materials to us within this time limit. The books must be in the condition which they reached you in and this is required before we can arrange a refund. If you would like to reschedule a course this can be arranged and provided we are contacted more than 1 month prior to the course date there will be no cost. Rescheduling a course within a 1 month period of the confirmed course date will incur a 10% administration fee.

6. Assessments. Please note that if the course has an assessment component all candidates must arrive on time. Failure to be punctual may result in the loss of the assessment place and will require the assessment to be rescheduled at an additional cost.

7. Re-sits. If candidates refer (fail to meet the assessment criteria) a re-sit will need to be arranged. Please note the course organiser or associated staff will need to invigilate the re-sit. The first re-sit will be free however all following re-sits will be charged at £25.00 each. Candidates are entitled to unlimited re-sits.

8. Submission of work. Where the course requires work to be submitted candidates are required to submit this by the date stipulated in order to pass the course.  Failure to do so will mean that your course place may be at risk.
